Barbie Horse Adventures: Wild Horse Rescue

If you’re a little girl and really love Barbie then you definitely should try out this game. The story consists in a massive storm that affects the Silver Valley Riding School where Barbie, Teresa and Christie were. The stables gates open with the impact of the storm and some of the horses ran to the hills. You play as Barbie and the school owner puts you in charge of finding the lost foals. Along the way, you and your friends will find some obstacles in the trails and you’ll have to ride your horse near to some cliffs and ledges, so be careful!

First than anything you need to customize Barbie and choose your horse. You can also choose how you want it to look by choosing its body color, the main and tail, the eye color and all kind of accessories. Then it’s time to start your adventure. Most of the time you’ll ride in your horse, but sometimes you’ll have the need to dismount and explore some areas by foot – Barbie walks really slow so this gets a little boring – or climb some mountains. Besides finding the horses, Barbie also needs to collect coins and clothes that you’ll found in the trails and that are useful to unlock more items.

When playing, you’ll have to pay attention to your friendship meter that represents the bond between you and your horse. It goes down if you aren’t grooming your horse in a proper way or even if you hit obstacles when riding it. When you find one of the foals, which is the objective of the game, you’ll need to pat it to gain its trust and lead them to nearest hitching post, where you can tie it up and call to the stables.

Besides this single-player campaign, you’ll also have access to some mini games that you can try with a friend. These mini games include a race against each other, a coin collecting competition, a lasso challenge and a game where the objective is to send as many birds as you can to the opponent field.

Unfortunately the game feels a bit short and you’ll have the feeling that all the mission tend to be the same, but you’ll definitely have a god time while experiencing the life in the ranch alongside with some beautiful graphics and a very easy and intuitive gameplay. If you love Barbie and really want to live one of her adventures, this game will give you that and it’s a great escape from the typical “just-competitions” games.
