Horse Lovers Ranch Game
There are five different activities that you do on this NDS horse game. You can visit your horse in the pasture, ride in the forest, train your horse, clean your horse and the stall area and enter into competitions. All of the activities are pretty fun. I liked the 3D graphics and the fact that the horses are very detailed. I also liked shopping and looking at all the trophies as well as changing clothes.
Of course, the goal of the game is to win competitions. You have to train your horse before you can go into any competitions and there are four different levels of training. You can do dressage, trailing riding and jumping. There is a really neat final event where you have to do all three. It was fun to win because I got some money to spend on some new tack, treats and bonus items.
Riding and moving the horse are all done with the touch screen. Once you get the hang of the tapping you can do pretty well. You don’t have any control over the direction that the horse is going but it does not really take away from the game.
This game takes a while to play and understand. It takes some time to unlock items and earn money. Once you finish the game you can play again with a different horse and rider.
One annoying thing with this game was that the instructions were repeated over and over again. Each time you go to a different area you have to go through the instructions again. I also had a hard time with getting my horse to take a treat
Overall, great game and lots of fun for the value.
