If you are interested in horse genetics, this is a pretty good game. Overall, gameplay is slow and you may get bored if you like excitement. Good graphics and game idea but moves pretty slow.

Breed your horses and Groom them

This is a good game for girls that love breeding horses. It would be appropriate for girls ages 7-14. It has some good genetic programing which allows you to create colors and breeds from the horses you breed, but other than that it’s pretty unrealistic. The game play, however, is kind of of boring. You can only do so much with your horse each day before it runs out of energy. You groom, stroke, and give the horse treats to make it happy. Training and the shows can be done, but you have to wait for your horse to get older.

The graphics and artwork on the game pretty good, and the page is set up nice. There is a little helper on the top of the page that gives you quests and pointers on how to play. You can visit equestrian centers, or create one yourself where you train and breed horses for other players. You can get money from selling horses you have bred, and you can get a job, but that is about it. You have to wait a long time until your horse is old enough to breed, then you have to wait until the foal is born. If you have a lot of time to wait every day, then this is a good game for you, if not find a more exciting game that gives you more options and things to do with your horses.

In the community part of the game, you can enter forums; send messages to other players, and few the classifieds. In the classified section, you can see horses that other players are selling, or you can sell one of your horses. You can also see where you rank in the game and take a look at the top breeders. If you like this game, you can invite other players to play with you. You get rewards in the game for inviting new players.

If you like breeding horses and want to experiment with genetics, then this is a good game for you, but overall, it is pretty simplistic.

    I love this game its very addictive i have being playing on it for 2 and a bit years now, you can own your own equestrian centre sxell, breeds, train, use medusas blood to create a unicorn or use a golden apple to make your horse have a diffrent (sometimes rare) coat. my username is : poniesrule1.

    It is okay. I like it although I did get bored with it within 2 weeks after I created an account. I wish that you didn't have to wait a certain number of days or weeks before you could do stuff, like buy a horse at a auction. I am the kind of person who doesn't like to wait to long to to things. I also wish there could be more stuff happening that is newer on the site.

    It's great and all except you get blamed on for some things you don't do wrong people have no proof people are rude about things some times. And It's hard to get started cause all the goody goody players keep all the good things and never wanna help so you don't go that far as you would want to.

    Very very boring,all you do is click click click. Theres so realism in genetics,the foal coat is completely random,you can breed two bay horses and get a black spotted foal. Don't like spending real money on games to get anywhere? Then don't bother with Howrse,if you want to keep up you need to buy 'passes'. Don't bother with Howrse,theres better games out there.

    Simple breeding game, but pretty fun! I've been playing for 4 years now and I still love it! I just wish there was some sort of 3D stuff like riding your horse in a 3D world to make it more interesting.

    This game is awesome it's really fun but they are not fair on their I asked someone if they wanted to buy any horses so they reported me and now I have no pm even though you were not supposed to get it taken away I did which makes no sense also there is people who steal your horses while trading they report you for no reason at all and the rules are just terrible. But as for the game itself it's great its just the players that are annoying and mean also the mods try it it's accually fun and addicting

    Howrse is a very slow game and hard to understand at first until you get more into breeding competitively and finally build up a reserve. The main goal of the game is basically to breed your horses to get the highest genetic potential horse in its breed. Genetic potential is improved by breeding generations of horses that are fully blupped. To BLUP a horse you have to train it and win 20 competitions with it-the better the BLUP of the parents the more genetic potential the foal will have. To competitively breed against others who breed that breed you must BLUP and breed faster than they can in order to have the line of horses with the most genetic potential. It's all about this "genetic race" on Howrse which is why I'm leaving. With the breeding team feature there is a top breeding team for every breed and they ensure there is no competition by hoarding their horses with actually good genetic potential by not selling them nor putting them up for stud or they geld them. I personally think it's wrong as honestly it gives no other person a chance of completing his or her goals. Also the community isn't the best sometimes and Howrse has absolutely ridiculous rules-some that are unknown even! You can't play Howrse and never not have even once been given an official warning for doing something you didn't know was wrong. There are many adults on the game and I don't despise them or disrespect them-I mean it's their choice to play the game and spend money but the adults can be rather rude towards younger children and sometimes it just feels like they overpower the game. In the first place if they're adults they shouldn't be spending their time on a video game-not at that age-that's what my mom said. I've been playing for 2 or 3 years now and I'm just tired of these things despite me having a very successful account. I was very active and addicted though-I would recommend it other than the few problems with it.

    BEST. GAME. THATS NOT 3D. lol. Ive had a lot of fun over the years. I got the hang of it right away. after not even a year of game play I understand everything and are what you might call and 'experiensed' player. I recommend this to players who are exelent problem solvers, and can read, they also have to like horses lol.
